M.D.

A New Yorker by birth, education, temperament,
(and food preferences), I left Manhattan after my residency at
Mount Sinai, to become Director of Student Health at the University of
Washington in Seattle. I love the great metropolitan cities of North America.
But I know that all of our members do not live in N.Y., D.C., or L.A.
Nor do our patients. Our organization requires diversity, not only of
gender and race, but geography and place.
why I am running
Our organization, born of sweat equity, offers a credible alternative
to the for-profit industry. Incorporated as an independent practice
association, we provide full-spectrum psychiatric and chemical dependency
services. During our development, we traveled extensively throughout
the Northwest, meeting colleagues in their offices in their home communities.
We listened and learned. We developed systems for peer management and
collaboration with medical and behavioral health colleagues. In our
business, health care dollars are spent on care, not dividends. With
sister organizations in surrounding states, we are a major regional
force. We are committed to this work.
our future
I know what it means to be entrusted with the hopes, as well as the
finances, of colleagues. Guided by our values and principles as physicians,
I would, as your treasurer, craft with boldness and creativity, what
comes after what comes next.
